What is the recovery time after a lip lift?
What a clinic means when its copy says "no downtime"
The claim to watch for is "no downtime." Quote it, then ask the clinic what it means: no visible change, no restrictions, or no time off work. Those are three different claims.
Where the recovery clock stops
A recovery figure can stop the clock at different points. One that stops when bruising can be covered by makeup is not the same figure as one that stops when you are fully healed. I ask which one the page means.
To see how an independent source describes lip procedures, read the society article From gloss to surgery: every lip augmentation option ranked. Compare anything it says about recovery with what your surgeon tells you. If a surgeon quotes a recovery estimate, ask what it is based on. Then see how a published paper on a nearby mouth procedure reports its results, such as Surgical Method of a Corner Mouth Lift, and check whether complications are reported beside them.
Dates to get before booking
Ask for the recovery plan in writing and ask what "recovered" means in it. Ask when you can return to work, exercise and being photographed, and ask what would change those dates. Do not book anything fixed until the surgeon has told you what to expect for your case.
Recovery is a claim to check
Checking a recovery claim is not the same as getting a recovery timeline, and none of it is medical advice.
