How painful is a lip lift?
Pain claims need a source
Any single claim of "barely any" or "very painful" deserves a question. Ask the surgeon what pain control is planned and what you should expect to feel, and ask how that expectation was formed.
Three moments inside "virtually painless"
The phrase to quote is "virtually painless." I ask who said it, about which part of the experience, and when. Comfort during the procedure, comfort the first night and comfort a week later are separate claims, and a page that blends them is not telling you which one it measured.
For reading on lip procedures, see the society article From gloss to surgery: every lip augmentation option ranked and a hospital system's lip lift page covering types, surgery, recovery and scars.
Pain control questions
Ask what anesthesia or numbing is planned, what medicine is prescribed afterward, and what to do if the pain is worse than described. Write down the answers. If a page or a person promises no discomfort at all, ask for that in writing.
Your surgeon on your comfort
Checking a pain claim is not medical advice. Only your surgeon can tell you what to expect in your case.
